Red Hat Insights controls automation with Analytics
The most important innovation is the integration with the automation tool Ansible. Users can define how critical IT situations can be remedied automatically via so called Ansible Playbooks. Thus, companies are able to build self-optimizing infrastructures via the SaaS solution and thus save administrative costs.
Red Hat Insights provides a continuous analysis of a company’s infrastructure solutions from Red Hat. With Insights, security, performance, and stability issues can be identified in a variety of environments. The solution has a certain artificial intelligence. It learns from information and can also make suggestions for new actions via Predictive Analytics.Thanks to the Ansible integration, these can also be executed via playbooks. This automation reduces the time needed to solve a problem.
By integrating Ansible Tower, vendors are simplifying the use of scalable, dynamically generated Ansible Playbooks, which can help speed time-to-market. These playbooks also enable Insights clients to be set up more quickly, which is especially beneficial in the case of complex infrastructure requirements, says Red Hat.
On the Red Hat Summit, the vendor also provides enhanced reporting that, in addition to historical snapshots, also presents historical trends. This facilitates the assessment of risks and the prediction of trends that may affect the IT infrastructure.
With Predictive Risk Assessments, a risk assessment can be carried out on a rule-based basis. This allows companies to identify areas that offer the greatest potential for reduction.
In addition, the solution offers a new categorization according to topics, which should facilitate the identification and risk assessment. New extensions in the user interface provide additional classifications and new views. Thus, risks can be classified not only by prioritizing, but also by categories such as SAP or Oracle.
